TheHomeMag Story
The Home Improver launched its initial publication in July 2002 to 100,000 residents in the Greater Ft. Myers, FL area. Within 2 issues, The Home Improver name changed to TheHomeMag and converted from a quarterly publication to a monthly issue that is still going strong today, servicing both Lee and Collier Counties, as well as Charlotte County.
Each month, TheHomeMag was filled with page after full-color page of beautiful pictures to inspire readers to enhance their homes. It quickly became apparent that the original partners needed to share their success and expand this concept across the country. Over the next couple of years, branches opened in California, Washington, Pennsylvania, and throughout the state of Florida.
Beginning in late 2006, TheHomeMag began franchising, and as of March 1, 2008 has 27 magazines servicing homeowners or in the initial launch stage in ten states, with an intended 125 Publishing branches throughout the U.S. by the end of 2011.
The notion of being a household brand name is a lofty goal. Many companies set out on the journey, but few have ever made the trip. As we open publishing branches across the US, it is our goal and the common goal of all TheHomeMag locations to become that household name. By the end of 2011, it is intended that over 20 million single family homes will receive our magazine each month, with nearly a quarter of 1 billion homeowners retrieving TheHomeMag from their mailboxes for the year.
